Terms of Service

1. Agreement

These terms govern your use of QR Base at qr-base.com. By creating an account or using the service you accept them. If you are agreeing on behalf of a company, you confirm you are authorised to bind it.

2. Your account

You must give accurate registration details, keep your credentials secure, and are responsible for everything done under your account. You must be at least 16 years old.

3. Plans, billing and renewal

• Paid plans are billed in advance on a recurring basis and renew automatically until cancelled.
• You may cancel at any time from your account; cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period.
• Fees are non-refundable except where required by law or where we state otherwise in writing.
• We may change pricing with at least 30 days' notice, effective at your next renewal.

4. Static vs dynamic codes

Static QR codes encode your content directly and continue to work independently of us. Dynamic QR codes resolve through our servers: if your account is closed, downgraded past its limits, or a code is deleted or expires, those codes will stop resolving to your destination. Choose accordingly for anything printed at scale.

5. Acceptable use

You may not use the service to distribute malware or phishing pages, to impersonate others, to link to unlawful content, to infringe intellectual property, to send unsolicited bulk messages, or to interfere with the operation or security of the platform. We may disable any QR code or account that breaches this section, without notice where the risk is immediate.

6. Your content

You keep ownership of everything you upload and of the destinations you link to. You grant us the licence we need to host, process and display that content in order to operate the service. You are responsible for having the rights to any logo or artwork you upload.

7. Our intellectual property

The platform, its software and its branding remain ours. These terms do not grant you any right to copy, resell or reverse-engineer the service, except where such a restriction is unenforceable by law.

8. Availability

We work to keep the redirect service highly available and publish live status at /status. The service is nevertheless provided "as is"; we do not guarantee uninterrupted or error-free operation, and we may perform maintenance.

9. Third-party services

Integrations you enable (payment processors, retargeting pixels, wallet passes, webhooks) are governed by those providers' terms. You are responsible for using them lawfully, including obtaining any consent needed from the people who scan your codes.

10. Suspension and termination

You may close your account at any time. We may suspend or terminate an account for breach of these terms, non-payment, or where required by law. On termination your dynamic codes stop resolving and your data is deleted in line with our Privacy Policy.

11. Disclaimers and liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, we exclude implied warranties, and we are not liable for indirect or consequential loss, loss of profits, or loss of data. Our total liability in any 12-month period is limited to the amount you paid us in that period. Nothing here limits liability that cannot lawfully be limited.

12. Changes to these terms

We may update these terms; material changes will be notified to account holders by email. Continued use after the effective date means you accept the change.
